Walk for Awareness 2026 – 50/50 Charity Raffle Terms & Conditions
1. Organiser
The Walk for Awareness 50/50 Charity Raffle is conducted by the Mental Awareness Foundation to raise funds supporting mental health and suicide prevention initiatives.
2. Eligibility
The raffle is open to Australian residents aged 18 years and over. Participants must provide accurate contact details when purchasing tickets.
3. Ticket Prices
Tickets are available at the following prices:
1 ticket for $5
3 tickets for $10
10 tickets for $20
30 tickets for $50
All valid tickets purchased before the closing time will be entered into the draw.
4. Prize Pool
The raffle operates on a 50/50 basis:
50% of total eligible ticket sales will be awarded to one lucky winner.
The remaining 50% will go to the Mental Awareness Foundation.
The final cash prize depends on the total value of tickets sold. The maximum prize is $25,000, subject to a maximum of $50,000 in ticket sales.
5. Raffle Closing Date
Ticket sales will close on Sunday October 25th at midnight AEST. Tickets purchased after the closing time will not be included in the draw.
6. Winner Selection
One winner will be randomly selected from all valid raffle tickets. Each ticket has an equal chance of winning.
The winner does not need to be present at the Walk for Awareness to claim their prize.
7. Winner Notification
The winner will be contacted by phone or email using the details provided when purchasing their ticket no later than 31 October 2026.
The winner may be required to provide proof of identity and ticket purchase before receiving the prize.
8. Prize Payment
The cash prize will be paid to the verified winner by electronic bank transfer within a reasonable period following verification of their identity and payment details.
9. Unclaimed Prizes
If the winner cannot be contacted or does not claim their prize, the Mental Awareness Foundation will manage the unclaimed prize in accordance with applicable Queensland charitable gaming requirements.
10. General Conditions
Tickets are non-refundable except where required by law. The organiser reserves the right to postpone or cancel the raffle where reasonably necessary, subject to applicable laws.
11. Privacy
Personal information collected through ticket purchases will be used to administer the raffle, contact the winner and fulfil relevant legal obligations. Information will be handled in accordance with applicable privacy laws.
12. Acceptance of Terms
By purchasing a ticket, participants agree to these Terms and Conditions.
